Day 1 Matsuyama → Dogo Onsen
On your Blue Island Shikoku Tour, you will be riding all the way on the Shimanami Kaido, a coast ride where you will be able to feel the marvellous Blue Island at its best. In Shimanami you will have the opportunity to purchase the rich seafood BBQ of Setouchi and enjoying Mount Kaero's wonderful view. At the end of the day you will then enjoy the hot spring waters of Dogo Onsen, recognized as one of the most ancient hot springs in Japan. Our recommendation is also to take a pleasant walk around the area.
Hotel: in Dogo Onsen
Day 2 Dogo → Katsurahama
On this day you will be riding through Shikoku region's mountains - which are famous for being a great part of its popular pilgrimage route. We will stop at Iwayaji Temple, and those tour memebers that are interested may opt to buy an entry ticket and look around. The ride will continue all the way to the Pacific Ocean coast. Here you will feel the grandeur of the Pacific Ocean, totally different from the Setouchi Inland Sea and you will enjoy the very same views which inspired Takeichi Hanpeita and Ryoma Sakamoto, who guided the country during the Meiji Restoration. At the end of this second day you will be resting your body and your motorcycle "at Ryoma's knees" in Katsurahama.
