Day 1 Sendai → Zao

Sendai → Zao

Today you will travel from Sendai to Zao Onsen. Departing from Sendai, one of the largest cities in the Tohoku region, riding this tour is enjoyable in the clear Northern air. Depending on when you travel, it is possible to pass through the Zao Echo Line - sandwiched between snow walls. Zao Onsen is characterized by a strongly acidic water, and is known as "The hot spring of a princess" because of its whitening effect. Relax your tired body from riding all the day at Zao Onsen and sleep tight!

Day 2 Zao → Tazawa Lake

Zao → Tazawa Lake

Today you will travel from Zao Onsen to Tazawa Lake. In the morning, head to Ginzan Hot Spring, an area originally developed around a silver mine, but nowadays is famous as a nostalgic little hot spring town of times past. Tonight, you will stay at a ryokan or hotel near Tazawa Lake. Don't forget to check out the statue of Tatsuko, who is a legendary beautiful lady turned to a dragon in the lake.

Day 3 Tazawa Lake → Store

Tazawa Lake → Store

Today you will travel from Tazawa Lake back to Sendai. In the morning, make the most of the many great touring spots around the Tazawa Lake, including Gozanoishi Shrine which was founded in 1650. Other sights of interest include the beautiful red torii gate stands in front of Tazawa Lake, and the area's Herb Garden, which is also recommended as a must see stop to take in the array of seasonal flowers and herbs. As a place to rest, stop at Road Station where you can purchase local food and culinary delights before returning to the Sendai Store. Return your bike, and head  home, dreaming of your next trip to Japan!
