You can enjoy snow activities in APPI on the over 1300m of north-facing mountains with light and dry "Powder Snow" for longer period of time.
APPI is located in the same latitude of N40° Austria's Arlberg.
And north facing slopes where they get less impact from the sun on Mt. Maemori and Mt. Nishimori,
APPI's amazing snow keeps in very good condition throughout the season.
Easy Access
200minutes from Tokyo to APPI. About 2hrs and 30mins to Morioka station, and 50mins to APPI by a bus. APPI is not too far from Tokyo.
We recommend you to purchase Japan Rail Pass which unlimited travel on JR line and selected buses and ferries.

APPI Family Park
APPI Family Park is a great place to learn and start skiing and snowboarding.
The park is wide enough and not too steep, so very safe and comfortable.
There are the various enjoyable snow activities for everyone, especially Kids, Parents and Family.

Hot Spring
APPI Resort's second beech tree forest is located in 10 minutes of driving distance from Hotel. This forest was selected as "Best 100 Forest-bathing forests". Also, it has been giving us great benefits since a long time ago. APPI Kogen's water comes from after penetrating through this forest for a long time. Thanks to this forest, our water is very tasteful. Also, this water goes through underground and comes to APPI Resort Hot Spring. The type of spring water is simple weak alkalinity. Because hot water makes your skin smooth, it is the best place to go after exercising or doing outdoor activities. Also, this water contains sodium ion and meta-silica ion that enhance shiny skin, and this hot spring is called "beautiful skin hot spring". We highly recommend this hot spring after skiing, snowboarding, or doing any activities.

1. Hachimantai Rural Town Bus Available
Experience local restaurants and/or shopping at supermarkets in Hachimantai rural town.
While staying Appi resort, it is easy and visit Hachimantai rural town at night after skiing and snowboarding.

2. FREE to go! Shimokura Ski area & Traditional Matsukawa Onsen Shuttle Bus Available
The FREE shuttle bus stop at other ski area "Hachimantai Resort - Shimokura Area" and Japanese traditional
“Matsukawa Onsen” (hot springs). You can enjoy different ski from APPI. Also, you can enjoy traditional style of
Japanese hot springs at “Matsukawa Onsen”. You can exchange Appi lift pass to Shimokura's lift pass voucher at reception.

| There is a maximum ski run length of 2,700 meters, maximum angularity of 37 degrees, a vertical drop of 550 meters, 1 three-seater lift and 2 two-seater lifts. This area is suitable for intermediate/advanced-level skiers and for those who wish to enjoy fresh snow. |
A mesmerizing hot springs are situated along the gorge in Hachimantai National Park, with a mixed open-air bath and milky white spring water. You can feel a nostalgic rural atmosphere surrounded by oak and beech trees. Admission fee 500 yen (Bring towels from guest room) . |
3. Hachimantai & APPI Snow Festival
18th - 26th Feb 2017
Free shuttle buss is available to take guests between Hachimantai and APPI.
Limited edition snow festival themed desserts and meals will be available.
4. Torchlight Skiing
Only new year's eve at 11:40pm (31st December 2016)
APPI staff will perform a torchlight skiing.
Also you can see fireworks to celebrate a New Year!

7. Wakasagi (lake smelt) Fishing Tour
Oshida dam is well known as a key site for Wakasagi (lake smelt) fishing.
Pitch a tent on the frozen lake, make a small hole in its ice surface,
drop a fishing line into the hole and wait quietly for Wakasagi.
Season : Early Feb - Late Feb (Depend of condition of ice)
