Walk in a town where the present echoes the past in the lives of the local people!
Set in a beautiful valley encircled by tree-lined hills, Hida-Furukawa has maintained the traditional small town feel of rural Japan. In this town, called locally, “the back parlor of Hida,” the residents continue on unembellished, their daily lives a proud tribute to a simpler time.
